Is this a hostel?
You could call it that. There are two bunk rooms that sleep multiple people, a private room, common areas designed to host conversations with fellow travelers, shared bathrooms, a shared kitchen available for use, and it's affordable.
That being said, En Root House is, well, a house. We've opened our doors in an effort to create a relaxed space for you to rest. Being at ease and feeling like a part of the community will allow you to see our town in a unique way, and maybe walk away with a new experience. It's small, intimate, and different, sort of like Chattanooga itself.
Is breakfast provided?
We provide coffee and tea! Feel free to cook your own breakfast in our fully equipped kitchen.
Is it safe?
Your safety is extremely important to us. We run a tight ship around here with security cameras in the common areas, keyless security for the front and back doors, a personal locker, and identity confirmation upon check in. Any guest who, in our opinion, jeopardizes the safety or comfortability of us or another guest will be asked to leave.
What do you require in order to book a room?

They are. All of our bunks come equipped with a privacy curtain, and there are no doors to the shared sleeping areas, so you don't have to worry about being in a closed room with a stranger. If sharing a sleeping area with the opposite sex is an issue for you, give us a call and we can see what we can work out.
Can I reserve one bunk for two people?
Sorry, each guest must reserve an individual bunk. If you and your friend arrive at Stay 1206 with a reservation for one bunk and there is space available, we will gladly reserve a second for you. If we are full, we will have to turn youboth away.
What are your cancellation policies?
We are a very small establishment so it's important we have plenty of notice when cancelling your reservation. If you don't wish to be charged in full for your stay, you must give a notice 48 hours prior to your reservation.

You have a full sleeping room to yourself with a lock on it, but you still share the two full bathrooms with everyone else.
